Parenting has some wicked perks. But there are also some not so nice ‘chores’. Here are my top 10 least favourite chores that comes with parenting

10. getting all the kids ready in the morning to take my oldest to his school bus stop & panicking that we will miss it every time
9. chipping dried yogurt off the floor
8. getting them to all go to sleep.
7. explaining time and time again why certain things should not go in the nose
6. reading the.same.book 15 times a day
5. buckling them one by one into their 5 point harness car seats
4. brushing & flossing all three kids teeth 2x a day
3. trying to find the match for their teeny socks
2. cleaning between the kids toes (i hate feet & yes even kids)
&
1: WIPING BUTTS & BOOGERS
It is all worth it with their smiles and hugs …
- & lots of wine

I agree they are worth every “chore” we do around them, but I think 2 am vomit cleanup is about my least favorite.
Your list reminds me of when mine were younger, though, too. The list definitely changes as the kids age. ~Erin

oh yeah that is a good one too! i really hate vomit clean up at anytime though – cant deal with the smell!

Good list. Though I have a strange feeling that when they become teens that this list will become a ‘top 10 things I miss doing for my kids’.
