Toddlers are a weird breed. Watching them grow from tiny babies into these little people that walk and babble is so neat to watch. Everything is new again and everything can be re-experienced through their eyes.
Babe E is not really an affectionate person. She loves to cuddle and hug but it has to be on her terms. If you ask her for a hug or kiss or cuddle she will yell a polite “NO THANK YOU” and a snotty hand on hip if she doesn’t want to. She is cool like that. Just like her mom.
Lately though she has been really fascinated with giving kisses. True to toddler form though she is not really 100% sure on what she is supposed to do.
She spits instead.
I can be leaning in for a kiss with her lips in their smoochy form then at the last second she throws out a spit ball onto those lips and firmly plants it onto my mouth.
It is gross – but still cute.
Yesterday I woke up to Babe E giving me ‘kisses’. My hair was covered with baby spit.
I felt loved though — i guess
