Well folks, the day is here. Today Big P starts his first day of school. He is going into senior kindergarten into the french immersion public school system. My 4.5 year old boy is venturing out into the world.
As this post goes live I will have already gotten up for the day, made breakfast, gotten all 3 kids up and dressed and walking Big P to his bus stop {in theory of course – i do have to get up early!} Provided all went smoothly with him he got on the bus and is on his way now to the school. If all doesnt go well, we will be driving him. He will be wearing new clothes that he picked out and rocking his brand new Toy Story backpack. His lunch box is his favourite, Lightning McQueen and is packed with Kinnikinnick Personal Pizza, apple, green pepper and almond milk {and more snacks, I don’t want him to be hungry}.
I am not sure how I will handle all this. I KNOW he will be fine, i KNOW many many many people have done this in the past and will in the future. He is my baby! I have been his sole educator for almost 5 years and now i unleash him into the public – it’s kinda scary.
Thankfully it is only 2-3 days a week. Today by 3:45pm he should be home and telling me all about how much he loves school and can’t wait to go back. Until that time I am going to need lots of hugs, cause this mama is kinda in shock that he is already a school aged BOY!

Good luck! My son starts preschool too and I am so anxious about it. He will be going everyday in the afternoon….he says he doesn't want to go so we'll see. Can't wait to see your photos!

YAY! I know you are probably sad like I will be, but when he comes home with a big smile, I am sure it will make every other day smoother
