| Homemade Gluten Free Pizza from King Arthur Flour Pizza Crust Mix |
The good people at King Arthur Flour sent me a sample of their Gluten Free Pizza Crust Mix and I was really looking forward to testing it out. Gluten Free and Pizza Crust are not always great in the same sentence. I have come across a few great crusts and also some that taste like cardboard for the mixes or frozen kinds. I have one good homemade crust using only cornstarch that I have, but sometimes I want something with a little less work, but that still feels like I made.
King Arthur Flour
now offers the best gluten-free mixes you’ll ever taste. And our selection of ingredients, delicious recipes, and step-by-step recipe photos will take your gluten-free baking to new heights.
King Arthur Flour Gluten Free Pizza Crust Mix is made up of a combination of rice flour, tapioca starch and potato starch. It is free from the 8 most common food allergens and is manufactured in a dedicated gluten free – allergen free facility.

Packaging:
“Gluten Free” is clearly labeled and the information regarding the gluten free manufacturing is clearly labeled on the box. It is packaged in a 18oz (510g) box and comes with the yeast included and easy to follow directions. Each package makes 2 12″ thin crusts All you do is add water, eggs and oil – let rise and bake. Simple and easy.
Texture and Taste:
The texture of the pizza from the Gluten Free Pizza Crust Mix was wonderful! It had a nice crunch to the crust while maintaining a great soft and fluffy inside. It baked up consistently and was able to hold one pizza with just sauce and cheese and another with sauce, cheese, pepperoni, hot peppers, onion and mushroom without going soggy. My husband actually forgot that it was gluten free it was THAT good! We had a bit leftover for the next day and it was even tasty cold.
Kids-Appeal:
I made my kids a cheese and sauce only pizza because they really don’t care for much else. My son ate it up and wanted even more. My youngest also really enjoyed the crust and ate her whole slice. (Just for the record, my older daughter – second born – doesn’t care for any pizza so she didn’t eat it)

The pizza crusts that I use and love are Bob's Red Mill and Gluten Free Pantry.
I haven't tried them before. This is the first pizza crust mix I have tried and was quite happy with it. My favourite frozen crust is the Personal Crusts by Kinnikinnick and I also have a recipe for homemade ones.
I will have to look for the Bob's and Pantry mixes! Thanks!!
Wow this looks really yummy. I didn't know you could get gluten free flour from King Auther . Thanks.

Hey Debbie. It was good! King Arthur Flour just released a gluten free line a few months ago – all manufactured in a gluten free/allergen free facility!
I'm glad there are some good gluten free products out there, my wife just got a $9 gf pizza crust…she love it, but it seemed kinda pricey, I'll have to talk her into trying a mix
We are so glad to hear that you and your family enjoyed the pizza. We worked for over 2 years on the GF line and are very proud of it. We hope you will try some of the other mixes, and the free recipes on the website.
Happy Baking!
