Product Review: EnviroKidz Peanut Choco Drizzle Crispy Rice Bars

I was lucky to receive some products from Nature’s Path and among them was EnviroKidz: Peanut Choco Drizzle Crispy Rice Bars.  I have seen this product in my local store before, but had yet to try it.

EnviroKidz Peanut Choco Drizzle Crispy Rice Bars are made up of organic brown rice flour – contains no gluten or wheat is vegetarian and whole grain.  This product does contain peanuts and soy with a warning of possible traces of tree nuts and milk.

Packaging:
I love the packages of the EnviroKidz products! Clearly labeled is “Gluten Free” as well as the certified organic label. The product comes in a package of 6 individually wrapped bars each 28g for a total of 168g.  The stand out thing that makes this packaging so much fun is the trivia question on the box and additional information about the Lemur Conservation Foundation printed inside the box. Even 1% of EnviroKidz sales are donated to endangered species, habitat conservation and environmental education.

Texture and Taste:
Okay, this product was amazing!  Sweet peanut butter and chocolate – these are more of a desert bar then a cereal bar (which is what they are called on the box).  It is made up of little rice crisps that remind me exactly of the crunch and texture of gluten rice crisps.  The texture is perfect – a great combination of chewy, crunchy and soft.  Small pieces of peanuts are mixed in with the crisps and the perfect amount of organic chocolate drizzled on top.  Really tastes like a gourmet dessert!  Each bar contains 120 calories/4.5g of fat and 8g of sugar so I was able to enjoy these pretty guilt free.

Kids-Appeal:
My children could not wait to eat one of these.  Having never seen or eaten these before that really speaks for their child friendly packaging.  When it was time for them to have one the speed at which my 3 children ate their rice bar was actually impressive.  A quote from my 3 year old:

Those were super yummy in my tummy may I have another now?

The EnviroKidz Peanut Choco Drizzle Crispy Rice Bars were a big hit here – both with myself and my 3 children.  Anyone looking for a great tasting gluten free, organic treat – this one is definitely worth buying.
