Walt Disney Pictures presents
“Tangled,” one of the most hilarious, hair-raising tales ever told. When the kingdom’s most wanted—and most charming—bandit Flynn Rider (voice of Zachary Levi) hides out in a mysterious tower, he’s taken hostage by Rapunzel (voice of Mandy Moore), a beautiful and feisty tower-bound teen with 70 feet of magical, golden hair. Flynn’s curious captor, who’s looking for her ticket out of the tower where she’s been locked away for years, strikes a deal with the handsome thief and the unlikely duo sets off on an action-packed escapade, complete with a super-cop horse, an over-protective chameleon and a gruff gang of pub thugs. In theaters this holiday season in Disney Digital 3D™,
“Tangled” is a story of adventure, heart, humor and hair—lots of hair.

My Review:
My family is a huge lover of all things Disney. We own a ridiculous amount of the movies – both the classic and Disney Pixar movies. I grew up watching the classic Princess movies & my husband loves the animated movies more then I do. We were
DYING to see this movie & were thrilled when we were given the opportunity to see it before it went to theaters. We took Princess R with us & Big P <– it was his first time going to a movie and the first time for both of the {and me} to see a movie in Digital 3D.
The Story:
When I first heard Disney was going to tackle the movie Rapunzel I was not sure really what they were going to do with it. It did have the classic feel to Disney but I was hoping that it wasn’t going to have another ‘boy saved girl’ feel to it. The story of Tangled was more then I had thought it would be. To me it was more about empowering – a girl who has been with no societal contact and really only “needed the boy” to help direct her – not save her. Rapunzel was a strong woman – reminded me a lot of Ariel from The Little Mermaid. The boy in the story Flynn Rider reminded me a lot of my favourite Disney movie character – Aladdin. He was sweet, a little bit dangerous & has a charm to him. The side characters – were adorable and awesome in their own way. Classic Disney again reminded me a lot of Pocahontas, The Little Mermaid and Aladdin.

The Look:
I have no words for how beautiful the movie was. The animation was incredible – the 3D was perfect. Not over the top like some 3D movies can be – they didn’t find every little excuse to pop something out at you – it all made sense.
The Music:
You could tell that Tangled had
Alan Menken as the song writer & composer. He has worked on the other of my favourite Disney movies (Aladdin, The Little Mermaid & Beauty and the Beast) and is a huge Oscar & Tony winner. I loved the songs in this movie! They were catchy and sweet and original. Something that I really need in a Disney movie is catchy music and Tangled did not disappoint.
The Goods:
Tangled opens TODAY – November 24th in theaters and is a MUST see if you are a lover of Disney movies – both the classic and new. Tangled will not disappoint!
