Ingredients:
Meatballs:
- 1lb ground beef
- 1 cup gluten free bread crumbs (or crushed rice crackers)
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp parsley
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Sauce:
- 1 yellow onion; chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic; minced
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 1 can tomato puree
- 1 can whole peeled tomatoes
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp brown sugar
- 3/4 tsp dried basil
Directions:
Meatballs:
- In a medium bowl combine ingredients and form into 12-16 meatballs
- Set aside
Sauce:
- In the crock pot combine all ingredients and lightly stir together
Preparations:
- Place meatballs into the sauce in the crock pot and cook on LOW temperature for 6-8 hours.
- When sauce is finished put crock pot on warm setting and prepare your gluten free pasta according to package directions.
- Turn off crock pot; place pasta and pour scoop of sauce and meatball onto prepared pasta.
