Gluten Free Deep Fried Dill Pickles

Gluten Free Deep Fried Dill Pickles

Ingredients

  • 6 pickles cut into spears
  • 3 cups gluten free bread crumbs
  • 2 cups cornstarch
  • 3 Tbs yellow mustard
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 4 eggs; beaten
  • 2 cups vegetable oil (for frying)

Directions

  1. Preheat oil in a deep fryer or pot to 365 degrees F (180 degrees C)
  2. Using a paper towel take each spear of pickles and lightly dry each one
  3. In a small bowl combine beaten eggs and mustard; set aside
  4. In another small bowl combine corn starch, salt and pepper
  5. Doing a spear at a time dip into egg, then corn starch mixture, then back into egg and finally into the bread crumbs; put into fryer for about 30sec-1minute each or until bread crumbs are lightly browned
  6. Repeat for remaining pickle spears. {if you wish to use pickle chips the process is the same}
  7. Drain on paper towels and serve with dressing of your choice

{to make them non-gluten free just use “regular” bread crumbs}
