Dear Insomnia
It is 2:54 am on a week night. I am still awake and it is your fault and I am not impressed. I have to be awake in 3 hours because I’ve got three kids who thankfully are not having the same problem, they are soundly asleep. I have far too much to do every morning and you certainly are.not.helping.
I guess it is partly my fault. I know why I am being kept awake and I knew this would happen but it is not like I purposely forgot to take my medication this evening. Pain induced insomnia is not something I would do for shits and giggles. Not really my cup of tea. I have never been good at taking medication daily {with exception of when I’m pregnant & the daily injection kept babe safe} and I hate that if I forget I am up all night, tossing and turning. Insomnia – you SUCK!

::runs through your post in my tu-tu sprinkling sleep dust::
I hope tonight is better for you! I have this problem when I have too much stuff running through my head, it really sucks to have insomnia when you have kids!
That stinks! Can you take your meds when you remember or is it too far gone? My stepson has a hard time sleeping too. Last night was the first night in 3 weeks where he didn't wake me up in the middle of the night! My problem is not falling to sleep, but getting my butt out of bed in the morning!
Ugh…I hope you can find a solution. I hate the feeling of being tired
Fortunately for me falling asleep isn't an issue. But stopping to get some sleep, is. I try to pack so much in my day that I don't leave enough time to get enough sleep.
It really is my fault. The medication I am on for nerve pain also causes really bad fatigue so that's why i have to take it at night. if i don't take it early enough I will not be able to wake for the kids in the morning – so it's a balance between if i forget is it better to be up all night in pain or be too tired to function the next morning.
I couldn't sleep on Saturday night. Not be cause of med.. I don't take them. But because of the heat and then I was worrying about kids. I ended up praying all night which isn't totally a bad think except for the fact I was tired on Sunday.
I feel you. I hate taking meds daily too. I really really do. I hope you sleep better tonight.
Stopping in from SITS, and because I like you.
I have had insomnia for many years now and the last 3 years, it has been worse because I am a shift woker.
I have trying sleeping pills, which only gave me a headache.
I have tried the whole warm bath warm milk thing – no help.
I have tried taking a gravol.(Not a smart idea but when you are desperate for sleep…)
I wish I could help you but I am still trying to find a "cure"
Good luck honey!
Oh, insomnia. I battle with you, too. Not any new tips besides the old standards, but, good luck!
