This week went so well I really even surprised myself. Week 3 and not only did I go the obligated 3 times a week – I went five times ! ::WHOO::
Holidays and all.
It felt good and I am realizing that I am craving the quiet time in the evening. Running at night seems to catch me at a better time – more motivated to be outside in the silence; away from the children and on my own. I like the way the exercise tires my body out and I can enjoy a better sleep from it.
I have also grown to enjoy the winter outside running. As much as i had complained about it in previous weeks – I have a feeling I might start to miss it in the spring/summer seasons. {yeah, maybe I will never be satisfied}. In life i would much rather be slightly cold then slightly warm so this really is the best for me. I come home sweaty but not like too overheated.
Another big bonus is that I dont have to feel any sort of obligation to look cute in tight fitting athletic wear {sorry for the visual}. I can run happily and comfortably in my baggy sweat pants, over sized coat and mittens. One day I do hope to wear the cute athletic clothing – but only after a lot of running
This weeks goal is to work on going at least 3 times this week and to try to eat breakfast. I am going to try some of the suggestions you all gave me last week and hopefully it will help me with more energy.

I am so proud for you! I say that I am going to get motivated and start working out again when I get to feeling better. That’s what I say anyways!
Keep it up, it may just inspire me to actually do it when I can!
*hugs*

So very proud of you for all the running and hard work! I’m so looking forward to really get running again here in two weeks. I am planning on hitting the road and/or treadmill during breaks from classes at school.

Thank you Khara!! I appreciate your support – it helps keep me motivated. I hope you are able to pick your running up again in 2wks!
Aw, love the new look! Also…I so wish we were closer so that we could run our C25K together! I’m on week 6, but doing things a little slower since my 5k isn’t til March, so I would say we are about equal in weeks. Anyway…back to your questions, I worked it so that I worked out, but not on Christmas Eve or Christmas. So I guess that still counts, right?

Thank you Nikki! I wish we could run together too!! Do you have a running partner? My older brother comes with me most times to keep me motivated! Week 6 is great!! Are you liking the C25K program? So far so good for me. I ran on Christmas Day but not Christmas Eve – worked well for me

You’re so sweet Miranda! I am motivated only because of all of you and my brother who comes with me. Also, the quiet I am really craving at the end of the day

I am so envious that you run… I cannot run to save my life. Truly, I am horrible… GO YOU!!

Honest – i am horrible too – getting SO MUCH better so quickly though. You’d be surprised at how fast your body picks it up if you start slow. I even have a bad knee (surgery 10yrs ago & will be having surgery again likely this summer on it) but the C25K really is a great program
