Bacon-Sautéed Brussel Sprout Leaves

Ingredients
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 pound brussel sprouts
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a fry pan over low-medium heat cook bacon until crispy; chop up and put aside
- Rinse and drain brussel sprouts. Cut about ¼ inch off the stem end of each sprout and begin peeling off the leaves. W Repeat to peel all leaves from sprouts; discard cores.
- Using the same fry pan as the bacon (leaving in the bacon grease) over medium heat add in the brussel sprout leaves and salt and pepper
- Stir until sprout leaves are bright green and slightly wilted but still crunchy, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and add in the chopped bacon set aside earlier

I love brussel sprouts and bacon (of course) but I never thought about pulling the leaves off. Similar to sauteed cabbage I think.
