Meet the Movers and Shakers Behind the Stories

Hi! I am DEVAN  - an almost-30-year-old work from home mom to three young children. I have been happily married for almost 7 years now. I started this space over 2 years ago when I was in the throws of stay-at-home mommy crazy.

Key Things to Know:

  • I have been through 10 miscarriages and 1 ‘stillbirth’
  • I was diagnosed with celiac disease about 6 years ago [our entire household's on a gfree diet when at home]
  • I also eat casein free due to a casein intolerance
  • Feet really freak me out
  • I am passionate about raising loving, caring children
  • I wont tell you what you’re doing wrong but will write why we do what we do
  • I am Canadian and if you meet me in real life I do say ‘eh’ a lot.
  • I do not share the real names of my children

This is MISTER SPEED – previously known online as BIG P. He is 6 years old in school part time and enrolled in a French immersion school.

Key Things To Know:

  • He loves all things cars and speed
  • Hates (& I mean HATES) when the bottom of his pants touch the top of his feet
  • Lives best with routine and guidelines he can predict
  • [ If you are nosy - he was formula fed from 6 weeks on and room shared with us for 8 months]

This is PRINCESS RARU – previously known online as Princess R. She is nearing 5 years old and is also in school part time (in the same class as her brother)

Key Things To Know:

  • She loves to draw and color – you will often see her with pen on herself
  • She is on a strict gluten free diet as well due to celiac disease
  • She is often playing in her own world with a bundle of imaginary people
  • [ If you are nosy - she was formula fed from 4 months on and bed shared for 4 months & room shared for 13 months]

This is PRINCESS BEAN – previously known online as Babe E. She is nearing 3 years old and is home with me full time while her brother & sister are at school

Key Things To Know:

  • She loves going outside, trying new things and gets into everything
  • She has never had gluten – not sure if she has celiac disease but we’re waiting to test it out.
  • She is very spirited – our only child who loves to climb, jump and get dirty
  • [ If you are nosy - she was exclusively breastfed for 13 months, breastfeed for 2+ years, self-weaned and bed shared for 2+ years]
