7 Signs Your Dealing With “After Holiday Aftermath”

December 28, 2011

The holidays are a tremendous amount of fun. All this excitement in a week with Christmas, boxing day, family, new years eve and new years all rolled into one. The kids home from school. Presents, singing, family … it’s a lot of hooplah to take in. Every year I get excited for it and then every year I go into the ‘after holiday aftermath’. Easy to pick out when I am so done with all the routine breaks and over sugared kids. Here are 7 signs that you might be dealing with the after holiday aftermath too:

They Have No Home

Every year I tell myself that we are not going to get the kids a lot of toys. They have enough already. Every year get they more toys despite my warning to myself. I end up spending any left over money on extra storage and shelves.

Yes this – all of this is why I am vacationing next year for Christmas! I have been off work since December 23rd and I swear I have been working harder at home on making “christmas” than I have ever worked at actual WORK!

I have picked out a lovely little mountain resort for Christmas next year. They will even set-up a real tree in your suite and leave the decorations in the box so the kids can go to town (but they hang the lights!).

Want to join us ;) ???

The aftermath is definitely something that I don’t enjoy either-Especially the taking down and storing of all the decorations. Seriously, I LOVE decorating but I HATE taking everything down, packing it away, and storing it again o.O

I would have taken down all of my decorations the day after Christmas but we are having a New Years party…but Sundays it’s all coming down!

I totally recognize this. I really like the holidays but after it I could use another holiday. Great article!
