5 Ways To Tell It’s Probably Time For a Break

November 1, 2011

same day payday loans

There are times where I can get just so worn out. Being a work from home mom is hard work (just like any parenting) and the unique situation that WFHM’s have is that we don’t always ‘have’ to leave the house. We are with our kids all the time and for me, there are tell-tale signs it’s time for me to get a sanity break:

I notice it's been way too long since speaking a real adult sentence.

I can’t even begin to tell you how true the shower vs. nap debate is for me. If I didn’t work out that morning, the nap usually wins.

LOL! I love it Devan. I have tried to imagine what it might be like working from home. I envy you ladies but at the same time that might be the most difficult way of working!

I don’t think I would get anything done. If I ever try to just blog once while they are awake it seems like all hell breaks loose :)

Oh, and it’s nap for me. Always a nap.

It is hard to find a balance. still is. I don’t put full time hours into work right now and 2/3 kids are in school part time (2 days a week) so that makes it easier.

& yes – always nap for me too!

Oh yeah, I’m right there with you taking a nap in my peanut butter and snot covered skirt. (I just like skirts better then pants. Comfy.)

I’m with Molly – I kind of envy the whole work from home concept but I assume you WFHMs must be VERY structured because I don’t think I’d ever get out of my jammies and I worry about how I would get work done with all the cooking, cleaning, laundry and day time television around ;)

You’re an amazing woman Devan and but I do agree it’s time for a break when your pants are covered in PB ;)

It can be quite a challenge. I dont always get all dressed up – in yoga pants most of the time. Laundry – well, i will put doing anything in front of that cause i hate doing it. ;)

I am right there with you! I always put showering last but when I do my day is always off. I’m trying to get up early and shower….but then I think…shower or sleep in until the kids wake me up???

yes it’s a debate for me always BUT I don’t know why because sleep will always win.
